A paper-first reading field guide

Audit a Reading Note After Finishing the Book

Use three linked fields: earlier note, later evidence, and revision. Keep each field brief and attach the page or chapter landmark that supports it.

Revisit an early note after the ending while preserving what the page reasonably supported at the time. A compact three-anchor trail keeps the note useful when you return later or discuss it with someone using another edition.

Step 1

Anchor the location

Record the page or chapter before interpreting the moment. Add the current reading boundary when later knowledge could change the note.

Step 2

Earlier note

Keep the original note and its page intact.

Step 3

Later evidence

Anchor the later page that changes its context.

Step 4

Revision

Add a revision that explains what changed without erasing the first reading.
