CH / STUDIOReading Journal: TabMap field guide

A paper-first reading field guide

Compare Two Editions’ Chapter Order

Use three linked fields: edition one, edition two, and shared landmark. Keep each field brief and attach the page or chapter landmark that supports it.

Keep discussions aligned when editions divide, combine, or reorder sections differently. A compact three-anchor trail keeps the note useful when you return later or discuss it with someone using another edition.

Step 1

Anchor the location

Record the page or chapter before interpreting the moment. Add the current reading boundary when later knowledge could change the note.

Step 2

Edition one

Record the edition and chapter label you are using.

Step 3

Edition two

Find the corresponding boundary in the other edition.

Step 4

Shared landmark

Add a shared scene, heading, or opening phrase without copying a passage.
