Use three linked fields: opening claim, closing claim, and change in scope. Keep each field brief and attach the page or chapter landmark that supports it.

Paraphrase the opening at its stated scope.

Closing claim
Do the same for the final claim.

Change in scope
Name what expanded, narrowed, or remained unresolved.
