CH / STUDIOReading Journal: TabMap field guide

A paper-first reading field guide

Separate a Dream Sequence From Story Fact

Use three linked fields: dream boundary, emotional clue, and verified fact. Keep each field brief and attach the page or chapter landmark that supports it.

Preserve what a dream reveals about a character without treating every dream event as literal plot evidence. A compact three-anchor trail keeps the note useful when you return later or discuss it with someone using another edition.

Step 1

Anchor the location

Record the page or chapter before interpreting the moment. Add the current reading boundary when later knowledge could change the note.

Step 2

Dream boundary

Mark where the dream begins and ends.

Step 3

Emotional clue

Record the fear, desire, or association it makes visible.

Step 4

Verified fact

Keep later facts on a separate line until the story confirms them.
