CH / STUDIOReading Journal: TabMap field guide

A paper-first reading field guide

Compare a Prologue Question With Its Later Reveal

Use three linked fields: opening question, reveal page, and unresolved part. Keep each field brief and attach the page or chapter landmark that supports it.

Test which parts of an opening mystery are answered, reframed, or deliberately left open later. A compact three-anchor trail keeps the note useful when you return later or discuss it with someone using another edition.

Step 1

Anchor the location

Record the page or chapter before interpreting the moment. Add the current reading boundary when later knowledge could change the note.

Step 2

Opening question

Paraphrase the question created by the prologue.

Step 3

Reveal page

Anchor the later scene that supplies the clearest answer.

Step 4

Unresolved part

Keep any unanswered part separate from what is now known.
